Position: The City of Norfolk is seeking 2 lead summer artists | Deadline: April 18, 2014
The Norfolk Public Art Summer Program seeks to hire two professional artists to create public art and provide a meaningful work experience to 6 students of Norfolk’s Emerging Leaders Program ages 16 - 19.
Lead artists will work with students Monday - Friday June 30 - August 15th from 9:00am - 1:00pm or 1:30pm - 5:30pm. Students will work with both artists each day. Artists are required to work approximately 240 hours over 6 weeks with additional hours for project planning prior to start of program at a rate of $25 per hour. Materials provided separately after budget and design approval.
