AVAILABLE POSITIONS
Residential Care Specialist – PT and FT
Provide hands-on direct care and assistance to consumers in all activities relating to daily living skills, including actively participating in the activities planned for the household and individual Consumers; actively assisting Consumers in performing all activities relating to daily living skills; assisting with administering medications; and maintaining a safe, sanitary and therapeutic environment for the Consumers. Properly complete all required paperwork for each shift, including documenting the activities of and any related observations about each Consumer throughout the shift and completing incident reports prior to the end of the shift upon which the incident occurred. Attend all meetings and trainings as assigned. Position requires schedule flexibility and reliable transportation.
Qualifications: High School diploma or GED; and six months related experience and/or training.
Support Services Aide – FT and PT
Assists consumers in their homes with all activities relating to their daily living skills, personal hygiene, physical and social interactions in the community, and implementation of their Individual Service. Experience with Autism Preferred.
Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent. 6 months providing patient care with effective time management skills. Candidate must be able to work independently with minimal supervision. Experience working with individuals with Autism preferred.
Activities Assistant – F/T and P/T
Provides care, supervision and training to adults with mental retardation and emotional disturbances. Coordinates, documents, and/or reports all activities related to consumer services that occur during day program hours. Physically assists consumers in self-care, ambulation and toileting. Must be able to lift and/or move clients when necessary.
Qualifications: High School diploma or GED; and one to three months related experience and/or training.
Support Worker – P/T Work one-on-one with employees who have severe disabilities, assisting them in performing their daily job duties. Oversee small groups of employees on tasks, in the absence of the Production Trainer II and/or group leader. Obtain all necessary work supplies for yourself and disabled workers as needed. Act as a role model for employees with severe disabilities. Able to work from M-F 8am to 4pm with some week nights and weekends required during peak production periods.
Qualifications: High School diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience and/or training.
Administrative Assistant – F/T
Assist with the administration of the day to day operations of the Vocational Program functions and duties. The BP assistant carries out responsibilities in some or all of the following functional areas: payroll, incoming and outgoing orders, production scheduling, billing, pricing and program development.
Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED with 2 years office experience or additional related training along with basic understanding of Industrial operations and knowledge of all related computer applications.
Food Service Worker – PT
Ensure contract requirements are met in regards to dishwashing, cleaning, vegetable prep and replenishment. Work 20-25 hours per week, weekdays only. This position must be filled by someone with a documented physical or mental disability.
There are 2 positions available at Fort Story and 2 positions available at the Little Creek Galley (25 hours per week, varied schedule).
The hours required for Fort Story are as follows:
Monday – Friday 4:00 pm – 7:00pm
Monday – Friday 6:00 am– 2:00pm
