Housing Operations/Facilities Management
Summary Performs routine floor covering and tiling installation and removal from public housing living units. Operates motor vehicle to travel to work site. Installs one-step floorcovering systems, bathroom tile, and other standard floor coverings. Removes and replaces subflooring. Installs handicap accessiblity accessories, such as handrails. Performs routine/minor plumbing as needed to complete floor/tile installation. Operates dump truck or similar vehicle to transport materials to site or to remove debris from site. Assists in carpentry, structural, and building maintenance repairs and installations as assigned.
Qualifications High School diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED), with two to four years of progressive experience in floor system installation and tile-laying; or any equivalent combination of education and experience to obtain the necessary knowledge and skill. Must be certified in asbestos tile removal in accordance with 29 CFR 1926.1101. Valid and current driver's license is required.
Annual Pay Range $25,251.20 - $43,992.00
