Housing Operations/Facilities Management

Summary Performs routine floor covering and tiling installation and removal from public housing living units. Operates motor vehicle to travel to work site. Installs one-step floorcovering systems, bathroom tile, and other standard floor coverings. Removes and replaces subflooring. Installs handicap accessiblity accessories, such as handrails. Responsibilities include unloading live pigs from the livestock trailer at the packing plant. Maintain site safety and OSHA compliance. Feed Mill Manager Trainee (Waverly, VA)

This person is placed in a hands-on training program to become a feed mill manager. Supervisory and management training is included to develop a manager that is prepared to handle all phases of feed production and employee management. This position will demonstrate knowledge and skills learned on the job, and become certified in all aspects of company feed manufacturing systems and pork industry standards. Qualifications include a 4-year B.S degree in Feed Manufacturing/Nutritional Sciences or equivalent. Good computer skills and a valid state driver’s license with an acceptable MVR. Wash and disinfect live haul tractor-trailers using a high power water hose. Maintain cleaning equipment. Take weekly inventories of chemicals and report the needed chemicals in a timely manner for order to be delivered. High school education preferred. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, bend, walk, and stoop for extended periods of time. Ability to climb using stairs, steps and ladders. Be capable to operate a tractor-trailer inside the truck yard with moderate training provided. A CDL license is not required.
