JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES

Incumbent will serve as Store Manager of an ABC retail store and is responsible for overall direction of all operational, staffing, personnel, inventory and merchandising functions while ensuring compliance with agency policies and operational procedures. Duties include monitoring customer service of subordinates, investigating and resolving customer complaints, ensuring compliance with all ABC policies in the checking of IDs, applying merchandising techniques, accounting for all store funds, managing inventory levels, and assisting in completing required documentation. Additional duties involve supervising staff and promoting employee development.

Incumbent should be available to work with limited or no notice and work various shifts and weekly work schedules to include Saturday, Sundays, some holidays and inclement weather. On truck delivery days a Store Managers hours may be outside of normal business hours (i.e. 5:30am) and inventory days may work past midnight and/or other times when the store is normally closed. Qualified applicants should have extensive knowledge of the principles and practices of a retail related operation, extensive practice in managing and supervising multiple levels of employees within a retail related environment and possess the knowledge and experience in the areas of employee performance management and employee relations. - Analyze data regarding annual giving programs and past giving trends to provide analyses of program results and to plan for future segmentation.
- Implement plans to increase the percentage of donors who take advantage of corporate matching gift programs.

Overview:
As a Macy's Gift Registry Advisor, you are responsible for driving Stores Own Sales by:
Advising couples on creating an Omni-Channel Macy's gift registry that reflects their personal lifestyle utilizing the latest technology,whether they begin in-store or online
Offering personalized service to the couple, their parents, relatives, gift givers and home store customers
Assisting the couple when completing their registry and other post occasion needs as newlyweds
Building partnerships with the selling associates while acting as a home store expert consistently demonstrating MAGIC selling behaviors
Performs other duties as assigned.
Key Accountabilites:
Drive and exceed registry and home store sales goals by executing Stores Own Sales through MAGIC selling and aggressive and effective use of available and emerging technology
Deliver quality registries effectively leveraging all existing, new and emerging gift registry and Omni-Channel tools and technologies and social media tools
Contribute to overall home sales by actively working with couples, gift givers and customers as the Home Lifestyle/Gift Registry expert.
Demonstrates effective and efficient use of tablet and mobile / smart phone technologies to recommend product /drive sales.
Mentor soft home selling associates on how to best serve the couple and their guests. Provide training to ensure the couple's unique barcode is captured for all WGR purchases.
Share product features/benefits with registering couples by understanding, using, and promoting vendor QR codes, on-line reviews and social media apps (i.e. Pinterest, Instagram, Facebook Widgets, etc.) as well as other new and emerging apps and tools.
Introduces the couples to their Macy's (total store) showcasing the areas relevant to their upcoming occasion as well as future needs (i.e. furniture, children's, etc.)
Develop quality relationships with our couples by making the registration process fun and rewarding. Clearly and concisely explain on-line and registry benefits including Dream Fund, with focus on the Macy's Wedding & Gift Registry (WGR) loyalty program.
Drive clienteling to deliver incremental sales throughout the couple's registry and newlywed period and during our six major WGR events.
Drive additional registrations through couple referrals, industry and social networking resources, community contacts (ie, bakeries, hotels,etc.) and external/internal events.
Assist registering couples in developing their desired personal style for their new home through product knowledge and promoting all Families of Business (FOB's) including furniture in the home store.
Participate in on-going product knowledge training through the utilization of product knowledge materials & resources (H.O.T)., review of product binders, vendor resources, webinars, Focus on 4 (Customer Service Score), in-store training sessions and networking with Home managers and associates.
Must have current, extensive and detailed product knowledge in all home FOB's with the ability to train home store associates.

Is eager to learn and share knowledge with coworkers and associates
Understands and keeps current with all technology (both hardware and software) used by WGR and Omni-Channel customers
Ability to handle physical requirements to accomplish daily responsibilities
Skills Summary:
Retail or sales experience in customer service focused business; 2-4 years experience preferred
Passion for developing and maintaining home product knowledge (tabletop, housewares, textiles, luggage, big ticket)
Proficiency with computers, tablets, and smart phones and associated apps, programs and social media tools with interest in and ability to quickly learn new technology skills
Fully understands registry systems and all job related systems including FedFil, Esend and Search & Send
Ability to develop clientele in person and through the utilization of technology
Ability to plan, anticipate and develop solutions to ensure the most outstanding registry experience
Keen interest in life-styling and home fashion trends as it relates to our registering couples pre and post occasion
