COMMUNITY ALTERNATIVES INC.

Has multiple Support Services Aide positions available working directly with adults with intellectual disabilities. We are eager to add enthusiastic new Support Services Aides to our Supported Living Services program. Experience with Autism and strong behavioral management skills highly preferred. Summary: The Support Service Aide assists consumers in their homes with all activities related to their daily living skills, personal hygiene, physical and social interactions in the community, and implementation of their individual service plans. Responsibilities: •Implements individual service plans to provide training, assistance, and oversight to consumers •Assists the consumers with the following aspects of daily living: cooking, cleaning, laundry, driving/transportation, making purchases •Documents all consumers activities in accordance with Medicaid and licensing regulations •Administers all medication in a manner prescribed by a physician in accordance to agency and licensing policies and procedures •Uses personal vehicle to safely transport consumers to access community resources Requirements •A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent •Six months providing patient care •Effective time management skills •Excellent written and oral communications skills are required to accurately document consumer activities and communicate effectively with consumers and their care providers •Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision •Valid driver’s license, good driving record, and automobile insurance Community Alternatives offers an excellent benefits package!
