For further information on Moroch and its brands, please visit www.moroch.com. http://www.linkedin.com/jobs2/view/9159460?trk=rj_em Job Summary Statement: Primary responsibilities are support of the strategic direction, development and direct execution of public relations programs and campaigns, while creating and executing integrated marketing campaigns for all consumer segments on behalf of the Tidewater McDonald’s Co-ops. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Co-Op Business (General) •Work with local Account Director on planning and executing programs strategically in line with the overall communication plan •Responsible for communications, PR and event marketing activities •Prepare all PR and event presentations for all meetings •Obtain approval on any client presentations from Account Director(s) •Communicate and follow up with market contacts as needed •Process billing / invoices in a timely manner after approval Account Director •Responsible for managing and reconciling the PR budget •Assist in supporting PR for any new co-ops within the region that may be acquired •Attend all local, regional or national client-related meetings as requested •Attend Moroch meetings as requested •Assist in planning, executing and recapping added value activation •Support the Moroch account team as assigned •Demonstrate a team player attitude by being flexible and responsible, self-motivated, resourceful, manage time efficiently and show enthusiasm for the agency, clients and the business Public Relations / Communications •Oversee development of PR strategy and execute PR campaigns and programs on behalf of multiple clients, prioritizing and managing high volume of detailed work while providing excellent client service •Develop and maintain relationships and work collaboratively with key influencers and influential organizations that affect the clients’ business. These include, but are not limited to, local and state government agencies and personnel, health, community, civic organizations, minority community leaders, etc. •Lead all news media relations and conducting all news relationship-building and pitching news media •Oversee development, execution and management of all aspects of community relations, including the implementation of national and grassroots PR programs and campaigns •Manage the scheduling and execution of local events to promote client brands •Manage any crisis management and communication, in cooperation with McDonald’s Baltimore/Washington Region •Be actively engaged in social media and provide recommendations for and execution of social media marketing for clients; stay abreast of trends and best practices and be prepared to share with clients, fellow account team members and Moroch | PR team •Conduct regular ROI reporting to Co-op, focused upon relationships reports and news media and social media coverage analysis and recaps •Review and provide ongoing recommendations into local activation and execution of all national promotions and PR and drive annual public relations planning for the co-op in conjunction with the overall business and marketing plans •Effectively deliver verbal presentations to clients and outside organizations •Regularly utilize Moroch | PR tools for developing and maintaining news media database development, news research and news coverage reporting; utilize tools for local social media analysis, monitoring and response; serve as Baltimore Washington Region’s subject matter expert of Vocus, Shoutlet, Sysomos and other PR tools •Actively learn and stay informed of local client dynamics, overall market dynamics, key players, potential pitfalls and opportunities through networking, staying abreast of news, etc. to provide valuable insights for evaluating opportunities and concerns for Tidewater team and local clients •Handle general administrative duties of day-to-day client PR activities, including billing and budget management •Coordinate Ronald McDonald House Charity involvement, as needed •Participate in monthly system-wide Moroch | PR team calls •Provide consistent communication with PR Director, Account Director, and account team regarding all PR programs and plans General Duties: •Promote Brand Moroch •Participate in team activities with a positive and supportive demeanor •Organized, proactive, professional approach to the business •Fosters a positive attitude among fellow agency associates •Return all voice mail messages and phone calls within 24 hours •Manage all projects on-time and on-budget •Control all G&A expenses as allowable •Complete expense reports within 30 days of expense being incurred •Provide supervisor with continual feedback on self, team and client business •Adhere to all company policies •Assist with any and all projects/assignments as requested •Provide continual updates and input to supervisor and team on projects and progress •Actively participate in weekly account service/PR calibration meetings Desired Skills and Experience Education &/or Experience: Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of four years public relations experience, including news media relations experience. Candidates with Fortune 500 brand(s) account experience are preferred, as are those with Sacramento DMA news media relations experience and experience working collaboratively with 3rd parties on behalf of a client. Must have superior written and verbal communication skills and mastery of AP style. Mastery of written and verbal Spanish is a plus.
