Inventory Clerk (Newport News)
Ajilon Staffing: Ajilon Professional Staffing, a leader in organizational leadership and support positions in human resources, non-clinical healthcare, office administration and supply chain/logistics, is assisting a Newport News, VA client in its search for an Inventory Clerk. This Inventory Clerk job will be expected to work closely with and support the Importing department. This is a full-time, contract to hire position that pays $11 to $12 an hour and requires a strong Customer Service focus and attention to detail.
Duties and responsibilities for this Inventory Clerk job include:
• Maintains current inventory levels; processes purchasing orders as required; tracks orders and investigates problems.
• Records purchases, maintains database, performs physical count of inventory, and reconciles actual stock count to computer-generated reports.
• Receives, unpacks, and delivers goods; re-stocks items as necessary; labels shelves.
• Performs routine clerical duties, including data entry and support of departments
• Coordinate the cycle count progress and results to identify necessary recounts and processes to be monitored and provide regular reports on the results.
Qualifications
• 1-2 years of inventory control experience, preferred
• Must have strong data entry and problem solving skills
• Must have excellent customer service, both written and verbal skills
• Must be strongly proficient in Microsoft Windows and Excel
• Ability to produce significant volume and work independently
