Christopher Newport University: The successful candidate will report to the Building Manager. Freeman Center and Chapel through the Maintenance Supervisor, the successful candidate will insure the cleanliness of assigned areas. Cleaning of field house, fitness pavilion, offices, restrooms, dining area, hallways, stairwells, foyers, lounges, locker rooms, conference rooms and exterior entrance ways, etc. Cleaning the Chapel's Vestibule, Conference room A & B, Celebration Hall, Quite Room and all areas assigned. Demonstrated Ability to follow oral and written instructions. Demonstrated knowledge of cleaning methods and use of cleaning supplies. Ability to physically move furniture/equipment, climb ladders/stairs, and stand/walk on various surfaces for prolonged periods of time and all other duties as assigned. The knowledge, skills and abilities required to successfully perform the duties of this position include: Ability to operate cleaning equipment. Be familiar with methods and use of cleaning supplies. Have ability to follow oral and written instructions.
