"Responsible for the efficient and safe operation of all floor equipment used to perform the maintenance of corridor floors under government contract. Person in this position must also perform essential preventive maintenance on all equipment as outlined in the equipment technical manual and company’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
Cleans and keeps in an orderly condition factory working areas and washrooms, or premises of an office, apartment house, or commercial or other establishment. Duties involve a combination of the following: Sweeping, mopping or scrubbing, and polishing floors; removing chips, trash, and other refuse; dusting equipment, furniture, or fixtures; polishing metal fixtures or trimmings; providing supplies and minor maintenance services; and cleaning lavatories, showers, and restrooms.
Education
•Possess the ability to obtain and maintain the appropriate credentials/ background check as required by contract.
•High School diploma/GED
•One(1) year recent, relevant experience in commercial custodial or maintenance services, prior supervisor experience preferred.
Skills
•Ability to carry out simple but detailed oral instructions.
•Ability to communicate with co-workers and work as part of a team
•Ability to interact effectively with co-workers with disabilities.
•Must possess strong verbal and good written communication skills including the ability to read, write and comprehend simple instructions.
•Ability to apply common sense and good judgment in fulfilling responsibilities, and demonstrate high initiative, adaptability, reliability, and flexibility.
•Working knowledge of general cleaning products and equipment required. Must maintain a proficient level of knowledge on the different types of floor machines, safe operation, care and upkeep, and must also show through assessment the level of proficiency in the safe operation of all electrical and battery driven floor cleaning equipment.
