**** Candidates with disabilities, rehab referrals or internal candidates only **** The guard carries out detailed instructions and procedures primarily oriented to insure that emergencies and security violations are readily discovered, and reported to appropriate authorities. The primary duty is to protect property from theft or damage, or persons from hazards or interference. Duties involve serving at a fixed post, making rounds on foot or by motor vehicle, and may help visitors and customers by answering questions and giving directions or escorting persons or property. This person will observe and report security and emergency situations. This guard intervenes directly only in situations which require minimal action to safeguard property or persons. 1. Makes complete and visible check of the entire fence line of the property and record in the shift log book. 2. Monitor and log in and out all persons entering and leaving the site. 3. Direct POV parking for all customers, trucks and containers.4. Secure all gates to the site. 5. Check every POV (privately owned vehicle) to ensure that POVs are meeting security standards. 6. Patrol/secure/log in all garage areas, offices and fence line. 7. Other duties as assigned.   High School diploma/GED required.  Possess the ability to obtain and maintain the appropriate credentials/background check as required by contract.  Valid, insurable driver's license required.  Annually attain acceptable score on Global POV Administration exam.  Must possess strong communication skills including the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions and procedure manuals; to write routine reports and to present information to customers and employees. Must also project a positive and professional image to the public, co-workers and Didlake clients. Able to drive automatic and manual transmission vehicles. Occasional lifting, no greater than 50 lbs.  Standing, bending, walking, stooping, talking, listening.
