Human Resources Business Partner- Corporate Partner

FLSA Status: Exempt

Location: Norfolk, VA

Job Summary:

As a member of the Portfolio Recovery Associates Human Resources team, the Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) is a strategic partner and key member of the leadership team who serves as consultant to all levels of leadership at our Corporate Headquarters on HR-related issues.

The HR Business Partner promotes the overall mission of Portfolio Recovery Associates while strategically and proactively translating business objectives into effective solutions which align with business objectives. PRA requires a dedicated HRBP who has the understanding and know-how to successfully perform in the role throughout the expansion and experience with a large corporation or publicly traded company.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

•Acts as the single point of contact for the designated business unit to either deliver or broker services that address issues pertinent to HR and business unit alignment, organizational effectiveness, and/or leadership capabilities
•Act as a catalyst for building strong organizational relationships amongst human resources and operations business groups
•Influence and advise management to drive performance and increase overall production and performance of each individual business unit
•Demonstrate exemplary business acumen that supports an open, inclusive, performance based environment
•Lead employee relations and conflict resolution in conjunction with state and local agencies
•Act as the primary liaison between all corporate business units and HR specialties to include- compensation and pay disparities, employee relations, organizational alignment, talent management, and job creation
Qualifications:

•Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or related major and a minimum of 5 years experience in a generalist capacity
•Exceptional oral communications and relationship building experience combined with financial business acumen
•Experience in workforce planning, staffing, employee relations, performance management and coaching, organizational learning and development, teambuilding, change management, succession planning, and compliance.
•Flexibility and ability to work independently and collaboratively on multiple projects.
•Outstanding writing, editing and proofreading skills.
•Professionally certified as Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) is strongly preferred
