The Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN) is seeking a Social Media Moderator to communicate with the CBN Online Community members using a computerized work-station, promptly responding to customer service-related requests and providing quality ministry, including links to CBN ministry resources. Our moderators also ensure the community is free of inappropriate content, copyrighted material, derogatory or hostile comments, and solicitations. This is a regular, part-time position at 25 hours per week located in Virginia Beach.

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:

•Working knowledge of call center practices and procedures
•Working knowledge of social media platforms to include Twitter, Facebook, and the ability to learn other emerging platforms
•Computer skills in MS Office to include Outlook, the Internet, and the ability to learn new software
•Ability to type a minimum of 20 wpm
•Excellent writing skills with demonstrated knowledge of sentence structure, correct spelling, and grammar
•Strong reading/comprehension skills with the ability to compose and edit appropriate responses
•Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate in a pleasant, professional manner
•Ability to appropriately represent CBN using sound judgment and discretion
•Knowledge of the Bible with the ability to pray concise, scriptural-based prayers
•Ability to work in a structured, fast-paced environment, and adapt to change
•Ability to work weekends and holidays
