Duties and Responsibilities
Ditch Witch of Virginia is seeking an energetic Shop Service Technician for our Chesapeake, VA office to improve our customer service efforts. Construction equipment dealer needs an energetic individual to repair customer equipment in the field. Assist customers and other company departments with repair of construction equipment. Shop service repairs and maintenance with some field shop repairs.

Work Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm. Must have ability to work overtime as needed.

Salary: Based on experience with benefits that include health insurance and vacation.

Candidate Requirements
Summary of Qualifications Individual must have good work ethic, service and off road construction equipment experience. Skills desired include mechanical, hydraulic and electrical troubleshooting, welding, and fabrication. Must have a valid class driver's license and own tools. Must be able to provide a clean DMV driving record. Experience in repair and troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems. Experience in welding and fabrication. Ability to work with others in a friendly, team-oriented work environment. Ability to use a computer to look up parts and read system schematics. Helpful, courteous customer service attitude. Possess necessary hand tools to be productive in a shop or field environment. Ability to complete required factory training. Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Desired Education: Less Than a High School Diploma
Relevant Experience: Heavy Equipment Mechanic
