Duties and Responsibilities
Mosquito Joe is a growing franchise company and we're looking for a Graphic Design/Marketing Intern to work with us this summer. If you are fun, creative, organized, motivated, and looking for a position that will offer you professional growth and allow you to build a portfolio of professional work, this could be the ideal internship for you. Internship is located at our Corporate Office in Virginia Beach, VA. Primary responsibilities of this internship will involve graphic design work. Applicant will be working to help build a portfolio of advertisements that support various extensions of our business and follow Mosquito Joe brand guidelines. Applicant will have the opportunity to make significant contributions to the marketing department through creation of marketing materials and establishing a library of stock photos and graphics. Support of and assistance to marketing department on a variety of projects - proofreading, editing, brainstorming, preparing materials, contributing to social media and PR efforts, etc. Other duties as assigned.

Work Hours: Hours are flexible (~10-15 hours per week).

Salary: This internship is for experience/credit only.

Misc: Mosquito Joe is your solution to make outside fun again. We provide mosquito control services to residential and commercial customers, repelling and killing outdoor pests such as mosquitoes, ticks and fleas. Candidate Requirements
Summary of Qualifications Student/Graduate in one of the following areas preferred: Marketing, Communications, Media/Design, English or related field. Experience working with Adobe Creative Suite. Intern must have their own laptop that they can use for the internship, preferably with Adobe Creative Suite (at least Photoshop and Illustrator) already installed. Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and in group settings. High degree of professional maturity. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters in a professional manner.
Desired Education: Associate's Degree
