Definition Full-Time (Salaried) Pay Band Job Description The Deputy Clerk (Grade 8) position is assigned operational responsibilities in a high volume, fast-paced office with frequent deadlines. Ensures court's instructions are executed and legal documents are prepared with accuracy and in accordance with the state and local policies. Must provide excellent customer service in person and by phone.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Enters data into the Financial and Case Management System accurately. Answering phones and filing. Assists customers at the front counter. Assess fines and costs. Accept and receipt payments, closing and balancing of cash register. Handle a wide range of complex clerical tasks. Must meet frequent deadlines, process court orders, float between pre-court and post-court, if needed. Must be able to multitask, in a high volume office, and assume additional responsibilities as assigned by management. Minimum Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent required, college preferred. Most competitive applicants will have excellent organizational and time management skills, work accurately under pressure, be detail-oriented, and possess a positive work ethic. Knowledge of judicial system and/or court experience and experience handling money preferred.
