Job Description
The Day Porter will ensure of general cleaning tasks to maintain patient rooms/Operating Rooms as assigned to staff. These include:

•Follows specific procedure to perform terminal cleaning of patient rooms and prepares rooms for new patients in the Operating Rooms.
•Uses industrial cleaning agents and equipment following appropriate safety procedures.
•Knowledge in there operations of mechanical floor cleaners, polishers and vacuums.
•Move of equipment/furniture as needed in order to ensure adequate cleaning.
•Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
•Reduces risk of acquiring or transmitting infection by learning and adhering to established infection control policies and procedures and communicating immediately all unsatisfactory incidents.
•Demonstrates knowledge of hazardous materials/chemicals used to perform the responsibilities/task
•Assist with emergency clean ups.
•Clean and wash equipment and keep suppy closets orderly and clean
